\ud83d\udd0e Diving into the heart of the cement industry and the retention of Captain Geze<\/p>\n\n

Yesterday, our students had the opportunity to explore two strategic sites in the construction sector:<\/p>\n\n

<\/p>\n\n

visit to the calcia cement plant in beaucaire – Heidelberg Materials France<\/h2>\n\n

<\/p>\n\n

A key cement production site where our students discovered :<\/p>\n\n

– Stages in the cement manufacturing process, from extraction to packaging<\/p>\n\n

– Environmental challenges and solutions for more sustainable cement (clinker reduction, CO\u2082 capture, energy optimization).<\/p>\n\n

– Norway’s revolutionary project to capture 100% of CO\u2082 emissions.<\/p>\n\n

\ud83c\udf0a Visit to the capitaine geze retention basin – NGE – IMEOH<\/h2>\n\n

<\/p>\n\n

An exemplary engineering work in which our students were able to analyze :<\/p>\n\n

– The importance of retention basins for stormwater and wastewater management<\/p>\n\n

– Technical and structural choices: foundations (raft, micropiles, piles), modular design<\/p>\n\n

– The contribution of digital tools (Cype, CivilFEM for Ansys, Revit, Plaxis, etc.) for modeling and calculating construction phases<\/p>\n\n
